Why in-hand salary is lower than CTC ÷ 12
CTC includes money you never receive monthly: the employer's PF contribution, gratuity provision, and variable pay that is paid later (if at all). From the remaining gross salary, your own PF contribution, professional tax and income tax (TDS) are deducted. The CTC to In-Hand Salary Calculator shows each step.
