How to use the Age Calculator
- Enter the date of birth.
- Enter the “as on” date — today, or the cut-off date in the notification.
- Read the age and totals.
How age is counted
Age is counted in whole years, then whole months, then the remaining days. When a month is shorter than the birth date (for example, a 31st birth date), the month ends on its last day. People born on 29 February celebrate on 28 February in non-leap years in this calculator.
For official purposes, always follow the method stated in the exam or recruitment notification.
Worked example
Born 15 May 1990, age as on 30 September 2026
- 15 May 1990 → 15 May 2026 = 36 years
- 15 May → 15 September = 4 months
- 15 → 30 September = 15 days
36 years, 4 months, 15 days
